Lake Group Media's email append services provide the fastest way to effectively increase the email address coverage on your existing house file database. The process matches a customer postal record with an email address record Lake Group Media's email appending service enables firms to receive the greatest number of matches while remaining 100% CAN-SPAM compliant.

Presently we are experiencing match rate results ranging from 15% to as high as 50%. That's permission-based results, meaning we supply you with only those individuals whom we have appended their e-mail address and they have given us permission to send them information.

How It Works

  1. Client sends customer or donor file via FTP to Lake Group Media. Lake Group Media will provide specific contact information, FTP address, etc.
  2. Customer/donor file is run against append base and where postal records match, will append the email address to the customer/donor record. Non-matches will be run against secondary bases to maximize match rate.
  3. Client provides Lake Group Media with content for the initial permission mailing, in HTML format. The subject and from lines must also be provided. If desired, Lake Group Media can create this Welcome Email.
  4. Client provides Lake Group Media with contact and email address for representative responsible for approving permission mailing before it is deployed.
  5. Once the message and all corresponding components are received, the test message is generated and sent to the designated company representative and Lake Group Media representative. We'll jointly make sure the message is suitable and that all hyperlinks are functional and appropriate. No message is sent to customers/donors without the client's final approval.
  6. Lake Group Media coordinates deployment of the permission mailing. After 5 days, the campaign is considered complete and Lake Group Media will receive reports detailing delivery rates, bounces and opt-outs. Such reports can be forwarded to the client.
  7. After the campaign, Lake Group Media will deliver via FTP, appropriate customer records and appended, accurate opted-in email addresses (addresses that did not bounce nor opt out).
  8. Lake Group Media will send the client an invoice for the total number of accurate, delivered email addresses, excluding bounces and opt-outs.

Benefits

You only pay for e-mail addresses that are successfully appended, deliverable, AND have received an opt-out message and decided not to unsubscribe from your e-mail list.

Timeframe

It takes about 2 weeks to complete the entire process, including the matching and opt-out procedure.

How do I get started?

To proceed, send an updated file of names and postal addresses (those without corresponding emails) to Lake Group Media for the initial append. Names should be sent in an ascii, comma-delimited file.
